Tamás Bernáth is an economist with legal certificate, and did his MBA in INSEAD. In the beginning of his career, he worked as a project manager at McKinsey international business consultancy, and then in Erste Bank. Between 2004 and 2010, he was the co-owner and managing director of Scale Consulting financial consultancy, than between 2010 and 2012, the partner of the consultancy division of PwC Hungary, and between 2012 and 2014, the managing director of OTP Bank, and a member of the Board of Directors in OTP Russia. From 2014 to 2016, he was the Chairmen and CEO of BNP Paribas Cardif insurance company, and from November 2016 to March 2019, the Chairman and CEO of Hungarian Development Bank Plc.
The main duty of the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer will be the implementation of Appeninn’s growth strategy with his professional experience gained in the financial and banking sector and project management. The company has ambitious plans on the retail and tourism property markets, as well as on the office market, both in Hungary and in the Central Eastern European region, which all support the company’s long-term business success.
